Sheehan will travel as part of the P4 team!

Alysha, Sydney and Tiana all share a hug after the P3 Team was announced.
What great team spirit we have!

Where can I buy gymsuits??

Here are some sites where you can buy gymsuits. It is especially nice now that the USD is low!!!
When ordering, please DO NOT buy a size larger as the suit needs to be fitted to the athletes body for safety precautions.

GK Elite Sports Wear:

You can click on the catalog's and choose which suits you like. Please refer to the sleek fit size chart for sizing information which can be found at the home page in the left side bar.

Welcome new Athletes...

Our winter session has now started and it is a busy one! With that, we are welcoming a few more gymnasts to the competitive program.

Brittney Dort has joined Kayla's group from the advanced rec classes and is making the transition beautifully!

We have recruited a whole new class of pre-competitive female athletes that train on Thursday and Sunday's with Jamie and Dave:

Welcome:
Tanielle
Ashtyn
Taylor
Savannah

We also have officially started our men's program! Dave will get into more detail about that.

Anyhow, we look forward to seeing the new faces and watching them progress!

Announcing the Alberta Winter Games Team'08

The team for Alberta Winter Games for Zone 1 is:

P3

Alysha McCubbin
Tiana Pisoni
Sydney Carlson
Quinn Andre

P4
Sheehan Desjardin
Katie Lowen
Shelby Rosler

Congrats on the great results!
Some personal accomplishments happened today as well. Tiana did an amazing floor routine, Alysha placed second on bars, Sydney's vault was tighter and more dynamic, and Sheehan flipped her tsuk vault (she also placed second on beam and first on floor).

With a little more cleaning up and attention to the little details, we can surely improve our standing on the events that perhaps where not our personal best! I was glad to see such a great start to the season and look forward to the games. As it stands, Eva will be traveling as coach and I will be judging-again.

Videos will be posted later in the week. If you have any pictures please email them to me and I would love to put them up!

We now know where she gets it!

Happy New Year!!!

Wow, it is now 2008! With that comes of course your New Year Resolutions. I was listening to CBC this morning and they where saying in a clinical trial only 12% of people even keep their new years resolutions, but, as the people who are in the trial know they are being tested they will try even harder to keep their personal goals- so it was said that a mere 7% of the population are going to keep theirs. Well, that being said I will still make my Resolution. Here it goes. Are you ready for it?

To be sure to post at least one video a week on the video blog and to have 3 posts a week on The Chalkbowl.

There you have it. If I fail, I must lower myself to be "one of those" who did not keep their resolutions. What a pity that would be.
